CH-CM201
Automatic Chamfering & Pre-pointing Machine
GSE is expanding its programme to include machines particularly designed for cutting tool manufacturers and carbide rod producers.
This fully automatic CNC machine helps to reduce the extent of manual jobs. It allows of single, small and large batches most economically. During the automatic process, the operator can do other jobs instead.
The CNC control is easily programmable and enables a quick, step-by-step set-up process.
CH-CM201 has been designed to automatically chamfer and point carbide rods at angles varying in between 90 and 124 degrees.
The carbide rod rotates in the process, and the wear of the cutting wheel is automatically calculated and compensated. Equally, the edge of the rod is scanned and calculated automatically. Differences in rod lengths have no influence on the chamfer width.
Once completed, the rods are transferred from the working area to a holding tray, using a conveyor unit.
The large-capacity magazine and automatic loader combine to allow of a continuous and unattended operation.
